Engagement
Plain statements. That is the arrangement.
- The name on a statementProfessional services are invoiced by Decker & Ross LLC. A card or bank statement shows the practice name. It does not describe the subject of the work.
- RetainersA standing retainer is the usual arrangement for clients who wish the practice available without opening a new matter each time. It appears as a single charge.
- A defined mandateWhere the work is bounded, a single engagement may be agreed. That, too, is billed as one line under the practice name.
- What is not itemizedSensitive tasks are not narrated on an invoice. Clients who need a private record receive it separately, not on the statement a bank prints.
- Who we work withPrivate individuals, families, and the companies they control. This is not a public consultancy, and there is no storefront.
- Opening a matterWrite through the contact page. Do not include sensitive detail in a first note. If the practice can be of help, a principal replies and proposes how to continue.
Questions about a charge already posted to Decker & Ross may be sent to the same address. Include the date and the amount. Do not include account numbers.
